Robert (Bobby) Lambert - Shop Service Manager

Robert (Bobby) Lambert Born in 1963 in Bishopville, SC to Robert and Violet Lambert. He was raised in Camden, SC. Bobby attended high school in Camden. For three years, while in high school, he participated in the auto mechanics course and carried an A+ average. Upon graduation in 1982, he moved to Leesburg. He began working at Lake-Sumter Transmissions, Inc. in July 1982. In 1987 he became an ASE certified technician for automatic transmissions and trans axles as well as manual transmissions and trans axles, clutches and differentials. In 2002 he attended a course sponsored by ATRA to become ASE certified in automotive electrical systems presented by Vince Fischelli of VeeJer Enterprises. In 1988 he married Gina Alderman and they have two wonderful children - Chris (23) and Holly (18). Bobby's hobbies include old cars, drag racing with son, Chris, camping and watching his daughter, Holly, baton twirling.

Randy J. Adkison - Lead Technician/Shop Foreman

Randy was born December 11, 1969, to Jackie and Nancy Adkison in Clermont, Florida. He grew up in Center Hill and attended South Sumter High School. Randy began working at Lake-Sumter Transmissions, Inc. in December of 1992. Randy always enjoyed working on cars and decided to make it his career. He became an ASE certified mechanic in automatic transmissions and trans axles in 1996. He attends the yearly ATRA continuing education seminars. He is also MACS (Mobile Air Conditioning Society) certified in air conditioning. In 1996 he married Melissa Thorton. They now have two beautiful daughters, Samantha age 13 and Krystal age 11. His hobbies include riding ATVs, water sports, hunting, camping, golfing, coaching softball for the Sumter County league and, of course, working on cars.

John Esquibel - Rebuilder

John was born and raised in Park Ridge, Illinois, which is located just outside of Chicago, Illinois. John came to work for Lake-Sumter Transmissions, Inc. with 30 years experience. When John was 16 he began working at a transmission shop through a work program. He started out sweeping floors and eventually worked his way up the ladder. Ten years later John married his beautiful wife, Fran, and together they moved to Alabama. He went to work for a Pontiac/Cadillac/GMC dealership. It was at the dealership that he became certified in transmissions. He spent 14 years working and managing a 7 bay transmission shop. John moved to Florida 5 1/2 years ago. He attends yearly ATRA continuing education seminars. He enjoys riding motorcycles, playing tennis and billards and collecting old watches.

James Rowe - Rebuilder

James was born in Leesburg to Jimmie Rowe and Susan McPhee. He has one brother and one half brother. James was 21 when be began working at Lake-Sumter Transmissions, Inc. removing and replacing transmissions. He has become proficient in rebuilding transmissions. He is MACS (Mobile Air Conditioning Society) certified and attends yearly ATRA continuing education seminars. James is an active member of his church, First UPC of Fruitland Park. He enjoys playing golf as often as possible.

Michael Hall - Owner

Mike was born and raised in upstate New York. He graduated from SUNY at Morrisville in 1976 with an AAS degree in automotive technology. Upon graduation he was recruited to work at a dealership in Leesburg. There upon he moved to Leesburg and married his wife, Donna, who is also from upstate New York. He began working at a local transmission repair shop in 1977 and continued until 1980 at which time he and his business partner, Roger Berry, opened Lake-Sumter Transmissions, Inc. Their business has grown from a remodeled 3 bay convenience store to their present day modern 10 bay shop. Mike is ASE certified in automatic transmissions and transaxles and also manual drive train and axles. He is MAC (Mobile Air Conditioning Society) certified in air conditioning. To remain knowledgeable in all the latest transmission updates, Mike attends yearly ATRA (Automatic Transmission Rebuilder's Association) continuing education seminars. Mike is an active member and past president of the Sunrise Kiwanis Club of Leesburg. He is active in his church, First Presbyterian Church of Leesburg, going on several mission trips and serving on many different committees. His hobbies include backpacking, snow skiing, kayaking and biking. He has two children; Ben who is 23 and is on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ at the UCF campus in Orlando and Sarah who is 21 and works at a local dental office as a dental hygienist.
