Who We Are
Lake Sumter Transmission was established in 1980 and is family – owned and operated by Bobby & Gina Lambert. Bobby Lambert, an ASE- Master Certified Mechanic since 2012, started working at the shop when he was just 18 yrs. old learning all phases of mechanics, all makes & models and ultimately made the choice to purchase the shop in 2017 from the former owners when they decided to retire. For over 40 years we have been dedicated to providing high quality, dependable service for the folks of Lake and Sumter Counties.
With a modern 10 bay facility, using digital inspections and the latest computer technology to efficiently diagnose mechanical problems. We specialize in automatic transmissions; however, we are proficient in all aspects of auto repair that is done by our professional ASE Certified Mechanics. Being a member of ATRA (Automatic Transmissions Rebuilders Association), we offer a nationwide warranty and adhere to the ATRA member Code of Ethics.
We are a proud supporter of our community through our local schools and organizations such as Leesburg High School Boosters, FFA (Future Farmers of America), local Little League Ball clubs, Leesburg Lighting Baseball Team, and Miss Leesburg Scholarship Pageant.
