Transmission was overhauled in short order and is operating superbly. I would recommend this establishment to anyone needing mechanical work on their automobile—totally satisfied.

Transmission was leaking fluid. It was fixed for $70.00 I was very happy with that!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Had some custom work done on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler and they went above and beyond. Did a re-gear and locking differentials on both front and rear. My regular mechanic said I needed my transmission rebuilt and referred me to a place that had terrible reviews, mostly from women. Being a woman, I did my own research and came across Lake Sumter Transmissions. Their reviews were current and had positive comments. I called and although they work by appointment, they told me to bring it in and they would work it in. Turns out my transmission was just fine! It was my rear brake rotor. I appreciated the communication I got from them about the progress and they had me back up and running in just a few days. I felt like they were honest and their prices were reasonable. I like that they can work on anything, even my old rusty Jeep! Now I have an appointment for the Miata bearings!

Lake Sumter transmission made a very difficult situation a lot easier. Ed was absolutely amazing. He kept us informed on every step and was very good explaining things to me in a way I could understand (it was my husband's truck, so I had no clue). I would definitely recommend and use them again!!

Where do I begin….. Lake Sumter Transmission was referred to me by my mechanic after discovering the noise my 2006 Toyota Tundra was making was coming from my transmission and not my motor. I am so happy to have been put in contact with Brian and his team at Lake Sumter Transmission, they really went above and beyond! My particular make, model, and year put me in a position with not many options. My transmission is a sealed unit not made to be serviced, they are made to be tossed in the garbage. That being said, I’m sure you can imagine that tossing the transmission and replacing it would be a costly endeavor one of which I was not prepared for by any means! Now Brian could have easily sold me a whole new transmission because mine was shaking like Shakira’s hips but he offered a service that could buy me the time I need to save up for a new car for one tenth the price of a new transmission and the difference is astonishing! I had my truck towed there because the shaking was so scary I couldn’t even drive it but when I picked it up she was barely vibrating compared to the bone rattling shimmying she was doing when I dropped her off. Brian and his team also repaired an issue with my shifter that had plagued me from day one when I bought the truck brand new! My truck has been gone through top to bottom and I am back on the road faster and cheaper then I was quoted and with a sense of confidence that my repairs were done right and at a hell of a good price. Thank you for the transmission work on my Nissan. Brian was very considerate to let me know what was going on with my car. They checked every inch of my car and checked the air in tires. On the drive home my car was jerking less than it had. Brian had told me it probably takes couple of days. Very great company. Thank you Brian and team.
