I have been in the automotive business one way or another for most of my life. These guys are the ones to set the bar for the rest. Diagnosed issue with my transmission honestly and repaired it. The professionalism and follow up were amazing. This truck has 230k miles on it. Would’ve been easy to sell an overhaul. But, repaired it for a fair price and it is working great. I give them 10 STARS

Reposting a review on behalf of my friend because they blocked/hid hers… “As a woman, do not go there. They will charge you full labor even when you decline some services, and the max price they can for parts (I was aware of what my parts should have cost). They never drove the car (and I know this because the problem was very obviously felt, even when I have passengers). I paid them to change my spark plugs and change transmission fluid>>over 900$ and now 5 months later, the problem they never tried to fix has now ruined my engine (missfire, or slipping that was the original complaint). I couldn't afford to go somewhere else, but I'm gonna have to. It seems the Sumter Autos in multiple locations, are ridiculous and not worth the days waiting for a vehicle or the money they want to charge. Hid my review of course - 4/3/26 Got my car fixed and I will definitely be taking this to court. I have my old parts. You should have fixed it when I brought my car in from 10/29/25-10/31/25 instead of acting suspicious and lying. This is why I never went back after the supposed "repairs"

I had a rebuilt transmission installed about a year ago by Lake Sumter and running great but just needed reassurance it was ok for a trip up north. They did a thorough exam driving 10 miles and everything was great all for free. They are the best!! Thanks

Will never deal with them again! Charged $282 for a diagnostic test and then results came back Dan K greatly discouraged me from have him send to my extended warranty company, Endurance, saying they were very time consuming and terrible to deal with thus giving me the opinion that he wouldn't "waste his time " submitting it for me. He then discouraged me from paying by check as he had to spend "his time" validating it. It was apparent to me that HE was more important than the customer! Thus I wasted over 2 hours and $282 of my money. I wouldn't trust this business if they employ people that value themselves more than the customer!

Dan is a knowledgeable Service Advisor that has been with us a couple of years now, and I apologize if he came across as uncaring. We try to always educate our customers about the realities of Warranty Policies so they are not surprised when that company does not live up to expectations. Checks are never a problem but again our apologies for the impression you were left with. We try to never have a customer to leave feeling taken advantage of or unimportant, but sometimes our staff have bad days too. Thanks again for your honest review—it helps us improve.

Called to ask if they had seen any red flags on a car they had serviced under a past owner, that is now for sale at a small local car store in a different state. Young lady who answers the phones said, "We're not allowed to do that". You don't even know if you're "allowed" to do that or not. You just said that because you're miserable. If you were a happier person, you'd find out by asking your boss. And don't even give us a bullshit response that she "isn't allowed". This is a service that people do for each other in this industry -- I know; I work in it myself.

While you are technically correct that we could legally give out that information it is our company policy not to. If you are "in the business" there are avenues for you to see a vehicle history. We do report to CarFax and you can see the history there without me giving you my customers information. We hope you have a great day and understand our position on this matter.
